Q. In your bibliography, do you type in your websites so they will be “active”?
A. Presenting URLs as hyperlinks in a manuscript helps editors double-check them, though it’s not a requirement; in our ebooks, URLs in a bibliography (and elsewhere) are usually converted to hyperlinks automatically. In CMOS Online, we made the URLs active in the bibliography as a convenience to readers. In student work, URLs in bibliographies can be hyperlinked unless their instructors tell them otherwise.
